professional highlights
sustainable architecture
Since 2014, I’ve worked on countless press releases, speeches & books for Werner Sobek, an international architecture & engineering firm that finds fascinating ways to combat the construction industry’s environmental impact.
academic history
I recently spent several months translating Stephan Malinowski’s award-winning book, Nazis & Nobles: The History of a Misalliance for Oxford University Press. (The Times Literary Supplement said it was ‘stylishly translated’!)
travel guides
I loved my multi-year involvement with German publishing house MairDumont, translating seventeen travel guidebooks & helping create four phrasebooks for their Marco Polo range.
education
For nearly a decade, I’ve pored over innumerable editions of the excellent school textbooks from Germany’s Klett publishing house to make sure their English is always impeccable.
&c.
Other highlights include translating a commentators’ match pack for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, working on chapters of the German Environment Agency’s 2016 report & helping with a viral video for a social enterprise in the Netherlands.
